Surah Yunus: Yunus

Revealed at Makkah

10:41
And if they belie you, then say: “To me is my doing, and to you is your doing, you are free from what I do, and I am free from what you do.”

10:42
And of them there are some who hear you. But can you make the deaf hear,— and even though they do not understand?

10:43
And of them is one who looks at you. But can you guide the blind,— and even though they do not see?

10:44
Certainly Allah does not do injustice to mankind in anyway, but men do injustice to themselves.

10:45
And the day He will assemble them, as though they had not tarried except an hour of the day, they will know one another. Surely those will lose who belied the meeting of Allah, and they were not guided.

10:46
And whether We show you something of what We promise them, or cause you to die, still towards Us is their return; then Allah is a Witness of what they do.

10:47
And for each community there is a rasul. So when their rasul came, decision was made between them with justice, and they were not wronged.

10:48
And they say: “When is this promise if you be truthful?”

10:49
You say: “I am not master for myself of any harm nor of profit except what pleases Allah.” For each community there is a term. When their term comes, then they will not put it back for an hour, nor make it come earlier.

10:50
Say: “Do you see that if His punishment were to overtake you as a night-raid, or by day,— which part of it would the guilty wish to hasten on?”

10:51
Is it then when it comes to pass, you will believe in it? “Ha! now! while you had already been wishing it to hasten on!”

10:52
Then it will be said to those who did wrong: “Taste the abiding chastisement. Are you not rewarded except what you have been earning?”

10:53
And they enquire of you: “Is this true?” Say: “Yes, by my Rabb! it is invariably the truth. And you will not be of the evaders.”

10:54
And if every soul that has done wrong possessed all that is in the earth, it would certainly offer to ransom with it. And they will conceal shame when they see the chastisement, and the decision has been made between them with justice, and they will not be wronged.

10:55
Does not all what is in the heavens and the earth really belong to Allah? Is not the promise of Allah true indeed? But most of them do not know.

10:56
He gives life and He causes death, and towards Him you will be returned.

10:57
O you mankind! surely an Exhortation from your Rabb has come to you,— and a Healing for what is in the breasts, and a Guidance, and a Mercy for the Believers.

10:58
Say: “in the grace of Allah and in His mercy”— in this therefore they should rejoice. This is better than what they hoard.

10:59
Say: “Have you seen what Allah sends down for you of provisions, then you make some of it unlawful and lawful?” Say: “Has Allah given you permission, or do you forge lies against Allah?”

10:60
And what do those who forge lies against Allah fancy of the day of the Awakening? Surely Allah is indeed the Master of grace towards mankind, but most of them do not give thanks.
