Surah Al-'Adiyat: The Assaulters

Revealed at Makkah

With the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Rewarding

100:1

CONSIDER the snorting assaulters,

100:2

and those dashing, striking fire,

100:3

and those making raids at dawn,

100:4

then raising up with that a cloud of dust,

100:5

then penetrating by it through the troops.

100:6

Surely man is ungrateful to his Rabb.

100:7

And surely he is indeed a witness to that.

100:8

And surely due to the love of wealth he is indeed rigid.

100:9

Ha! does he not know then when what is in the graves will be raised up;—

100:10

and what is in the breasts will be made manifest?

100:11

Verily their Rabb this Day is Aware of them.
