Surah 75
Surah Al-Qiyamah: The Awakening
Revealed at Makkah
75:21
and forsake the Hereafter.
75:22
Faces on that day will be shining,
75:23
looking towards their Rabb,
75:24
And faces on that day will be gloomy,
75:25
thinking that some back-breaking calamity is going to fall upon them.
75:26
No, when it reaches the throat,
75:27
it will then be said: “Who is the charmer?”
75:28
And he thinks that it is the departing,
75:29
and one shin will rub against the other shin;
75:30
towards your Rabb that day is the driving.
75:31
So he did not accept the truth, nor did he perform Salat;
75:32
but he belied and turned back.
75:33
Then he went back to his family walking in pride.
75:34
“Woe be to you! then woe be to you!
75:35
“Again, woe be to you, so woe be to you!”
75:36
Does man think that he will be left unrestrained?
75:37
Was he not a sperm out of an ejaculation ejaculated?
75:38
And then he was a clot, so He created and perfected;
75:39
then He made out of him a pair— the male and the female.
75:40
Is He not Capable like this of giving life to the dead?
