Surah 98

Surah Al-Bayyinah: The Manifest Proof

Revealed at Makkah

With the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Rewarding

98:1
THOSE who reject Faith from among the People of the Scripture, and the polytheists, could not be freed until the Manifest Proof came to them,—

98:2
a Rasul from Allah who recites purified pages,

98:3
wherein are outstanding scriptures.

98:4
And those who were given the Scripture did not divide except after the Manifest Proof had come to them.

98:5
And they were not commanded but to worship Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience,— being upright, and establishing the Salat and paying the Zakat. And that is the Right Religion.

98:6
Verily those who reject Faith from among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists, will be in the Fire of Gehenna, abiding in it. These— they are the worst creatures.

98:7
Surely those who believe and do good!— These— they are the best of creatures.

98:8
Their reward in the Presence of their Rabb will be Gardens of Eden, beneath which flow the rivers, abiding in them all the time. Allah is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him. That is for him who fears his Rabb.
