Surah 86
Surah At-Tariq: The Night Visitor
Revealed at Makkah
With the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Rewarding
86:1
CONSIDER the heaven and the Night-Visitor!
86:2
And what will make you know what the Night-Visitor is?
86:3
The Star of piercing radiance.
86:4
There is no soul but has a guardian over it.
86:5
So let man consider what he is created of.
86:6
He is created out of a liquid ejaculated,—
86:7
coming out from between the backbone and the breastbone.
86:8
Verily He is indeed Capable upon his return.
86:9
The Day whereon secrets will be exposed,
86:10
then there will not be for him any strength, nor any helper.
86:11
Consider the cloud which keeps coming back,
86:12
and the earth which splits asunder.
86:13
Certainly this is a conclusive discourse,
86:14
and it is not a joke.
86:15
Surely they plot a plot,
86:16
and I plan a plan.
86:17
Therefore you give respite to the Unbelievers, giving them respite for a little while.
