Surah 78
Surah An-Naba': The Information
Revealed at Makkah
With the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Rewarding
78:1
WHEREOF do they ask one another ?
78:2
Of the tremendous Information,
78:3
about which they are in disagreement.
78:4
No, they will soon know.
78:5
Again, no! soon they will know.
78:6
Have We not made the earth as a wide couch,
78:7
and the mountains as pegs?
78:8
And We have created you in pairs,
78:9
and We have made your sleep for rest,
78:10
and We have made the night as a garment,
78:11
and We have made the day for seeking livelihood.
78:12
And We have erected above you seven strong bodies.
78:13
And We have placed a lamp brightly burning,
78:14
and We being down from dripping clouds water in abundance,—
78:15
that We may bring forth with it grains and vegetations,
78:16
and gardens of luxuriant growth.
78:17
Surely the day of Decision is of a fixed time.
78:18
The day when blowing will be done into the trumpet, you will then come in hosts,
78:19
and the sky will be opened up, it will then become doors;
78:20
and the mountains will be made to pass away, they then become a mirage.
